photography
My late husband, Larry, and I often talked about me joining him as a photographer. Despite my love for photography, I never felt ready; there was so much I wanted to learn! When I gathered enough courage and could, at last, imagine myself taking the next step, I told him, "I think I'm ready to try taking on photoshoots." "Don't try," he said, "just do it!" A month later, my dear Larry left our world, but his faith remains a pillar of strength.

Like Larry, I am most inspired by documentary photography. I love capturing moments that are real and raw. These are the threads that weave each family's story. I revel in documenting the ordinary, everyday moments that you can look back on and say, "This is us!" This is us in our most comfortable state, doing things that bring us joy, being with the people whom we love.
So here I am, 'just doing it' with Larry's treasured collection of cameras, always so much I want to learn, and I can't wait to photograph you and your family, just as you are.

Love,
Li Ling
